The Corona Tale of Vohemar

Chapter 1: Shama and Captain Corona’s tale

Once upon a time, there was a town called Vohemar. It was on a beautiful island.

People lived in houses in the town. Some lived outside the town on small farms. Some were fishermen. People walked to market to buy food and sell things. Life was peaceful.

Out in the forest lived a wise old man alone in a small house. If people got sick or had questions about life, they went out to ask him. They also brought food and little gifts to him. People called him Shama. Shama knew much about medicine plants and he also knew many stories and tales from past forgotten times. Shama’s father, and his father before him, had also been called Shama.

Shama sometimes told an old tale about a ship that had once come to the island, and had brought with it a virus that had made Voharmar’s people sick and many had died. It was Captain Corona’s tale. “The protectors of Vohemar must be prepared, because one day Captain Corona will return” Shama’s grandfather, his father and himself, had warned the people of Vohemar.

But times had passed, and only few old people still visited Shama and listened to his warning about Corona’s return.

Chapter 2: Eric and the Red boat

One day Eric was out fishing he saw a red boat floating. He sailed up to it and yelled “Hello”. Nobody answered. He got close and with his hand he pulled his own boat close. There was a captains hat and a blanchard. He could not see what was under the blanchard. He bent out and reached with a finger to lift the hat. Uhhh, there was a dead old man’s face under the hat. Eric sat back immediately and hurried away from the boat and back into Vohemar with the fish he had caught. It was in the morning, and he went to market to sell his fish.

He told many people about the red boat and the dead captain, but he told it knew the tale of Captain Corona.

But that evening, a young boy Õtan, told his old sick grandfather what Eric had told. The grandfather, although weak, raised up in his bed, and said to Õtan to find his father and go to Shama in the forest immediately to tell that Captain Corona had returned.

Chapter 3: Shama’s chest

Next day, they went to Shama’s house in the forest early in the morning. When they told the story, Shama said “We must get back to town immediately”.

Shama opened an old wooden chest. In it was scarfs in Blue, Red, Yellow and Green. He gave a yellow and a green scarf to Õtan and his father.

“Wear these around your right arm” he said.

In the chest was also a silk clothing in all the colors, yellow, green, blue and red.

Then they started to walk back to town as fast as Shama’s old legs could walk.

Chapter 4: Shama’s scroll

“Shama, what can we do?” Õtan asked, anxious. He thought about his old grandfather. “You my friend, you are young and strong. Corona can make you sick, but not bad. Corona cannot kill you. You are one of the protectors of Vohemar. I must give you the wisdom of the Flower of Life and then we must together gather the protectors of Vohemar”.

“Tell me and my father the wisdom of the Flower of Life. Tell us what to do”, Õtan said. “Yes, tell us” Õtan’s father said. “Yes, please tell us – please let me help protect Vohemars people from the curse I have brought here” Eric said with a sad voice.

Shama carefully opened a scroll he had been wearing in a leather string around his neck since he got it from his father. He opened it and pulled an old piece of paper out very carefully. “This was brought to Vohemar from Europe many generations ago by a ship that came to our island after Captain Corona had brought Corona’s curse the first time. A Pirate called Captain Kipp brought it. He came late and many were already sick and and many had died, but the wisdom he brought saved many lives.”

Shama showed the paper. “This is the Flower of Life. The tale teach us, that we must think and act both like the Pirates on Captain Kipps ship and like the flowers in the forests. That is the Wisdom that will save ourselves from Corona’s curse” said Shama. That was how Captain Kipp and his crew avoided the disease back then – and that was how Vohemars protectors saved many lives on Madagascar many centuries ago”.

Chapter 5: The Flower of Life and the wisdom

Shama showed the paper. “This is an old drawing with magic powers of the Flower of Life, that not even I understand. But the tale and what I understand is enough”.

First the tale teach us, that we must think and act as if we were all a special flower in the forest of a forgotten place.

Then we must also think and act as the Pirates on Captain Kipps ship when they came to our island. They never got sick from the Corona Virus.

That is the Wisdom that will save ourselves from Corona’s curse” said Shama.

That was how Captain Kipp and his crew avoided the disease back then before they left Europe – and that was how they came here and taught Vohemars protectors the wisdom that saved many lives on our island many centuries ago”.

CHAPTER 6: THINKING LIKE a FLOWER – the seed

“Please give me back your scarves” said Sharma to Õtan and his father. They did and then Shama continued.

First we have to think like a special flower. It starts like a little seed that looks like a small stone. Look over at the market, think about all houses and streets. Every person there are little seeds now.

They looked at the market. There was a lot of people. Õtan imagined all the people were little stone looking seeds mingling and moving and rolling back and forth between home and market and between houses.

CHAPTER 7: CAPTAIN CORONA’S SIGNAL TO GROW

When Captain Corona returned, all seeds in Vohemar and on the entire island received a signal to start to grow. And as soon as they start to grow, Captain Corona will try to poison them with corona virus.

Each flower he poisons will turn red and poisonous and will get sick and some of them will die.

Captain Corona wants ALL seeds to grow into red poisonous flowers.

If we act fast, then we can also stop captain corona fast.

“How Shama, I don’t understand?” Õtan said impatiently.

“We can make the corona virus visible by giving ourselves colors like the flower” shama answered

CHAPTER 8: The Red color

Shama got up and walked three meters towards Eric and put a red scarf down on the ground with a stone on it.

“Eric, you have become a danger to the people of Vohemar. Just like the pollen of the poisonous red flower are to all other flowers. Therefore you have to wear the red scarf. But wait, you cannot take it until we are at safe distance. You have to keep 10 meters distance to people at all times and all people will come to know, that they must stay minimum at 10 meters distance from you”

Eric nodded. “But what about my wife and kids” he asked.

“You have spent the evening and night with them, so they are very likely to also wear the virus. They must also wear red”

Eric nods before Shama continues. And you must do as if your house was a ship and you raised a red flag as a warning. You must hang a red colored cloth on the door to your house.

CHAPTER 9: THE YELLOW COLOR – THE PROTECTORS

“But how do we get water and food if cannot get near anybody?”, Eric asked

We will form a “Vohemars protectors”. They will wear yellow and bring water and nutritions to you, just like the yellow roots of the flower do.

CHAPTER 10: THE GREEN COLOR – THE CLEANSING RITUAL

Shama now turns around to Õtan and his father. “I know a good friend of mine lives in your house. An old man, your grandfather and your father.”

Õtan and his father both nodd.

“To protect him we have to get your house through the “cleansing ritual”.

Õtans father says “What does that mean?”

It means we will raise the green flag on your ship and just like Eric with the red flag you signal “Do not come near”. And then for two weeks “cleansing ritual” you must isolate and just like Eric, stay at minimum 10 meters distance of anybody except those in your house. Vohemars protectors will provide water and nutritions for you.

CHAPTER 11: THE blue COLOR – virus free

After the 14 days cleansing ritual, if you have had no symptoms of disease, you will exchange the Green Flag with the Blue Flag. That means your ship is now virus free. You can now also wear the blue scarf.

So now you have to protect yourself and your house. Nobody with neither red, green or yellow should get near anyone of yourselves, neither get near or inside your house.

CHAPTER 12: THE blue flowers

Each time a house can raise the blue flag, it is like blue flowers blooming in the forest or on the field – one by one like stars on the sky, until they grow together and come to form a whole carpet of blue, as an ocean.

And for people, as soon as they can raise the blue flag and wear the blue scarf, they can start to live normally again with other people who are free of virus.

CHAPTER 13: THE blue turns all blue – and corona is gone

When started early and with high discipline, after two weeks cleansing ritual, most houses can raise the blue flag. There will still be many green, yellow and red in between. But they are isolated, like ships sailing on the blue water. One by one, the green, yellow and red will become blue, until corona does not any longer exist and the people is free again.

CHAPTER 10: The Green color – the cleansing ritual

Shama now turns around to Õtan and his father. “I know a good friend of mine lives in your house. An old man, your grandfather and your father.”

Õtan and his father both nodd.

“To protect him we have to get your house through the “cleansing ritual”.

Õtans father says “What does that mean?”

After the 14 days cleansing ritual, if you have had no symptoms of disease, you will exchange the Green Flag with the Blue Flag. That means your ship is now virus free.

But you do it to protect yourself and your ship from anybody coming near, who may wear the virus. Just like Captain Kipp did when he came to our Island centurues ago. Many had corona virus then, but he protected his ship. Vohemars protectors, provided food

We will form a “Vohemars protectors”. They will wear only yellow and bring water and nutritions to you, just like the yellow roots of the flower do.

“That is why I give Õtan a yellow scarf” Shama said as he handed Õtan the yellow scarf back. The flower has yellow roots. Õtan will become a protector and your roots. He will get water and nutritions for you and your family, just as roots do for a plant”. He looked at Õtan. “Will you do that for Eric Õtan?”

“But if I go into Eric’s house with food, am I not then at big risk to also get the virus on me?” said Õtan

“Nobody should ever go into a house with a red scarf on the door. You should put the groceries near the house outside and then not get within 10 meters distance from Eric when he comes out to get the groceries.”

“OK, yes I can do that”

Very good Õtan, but then you cannot pass the “cleansing ritual” in the first wave because you will be at risk of meeting people carrying the corona virus.

But we must find many protectors, because we need all people in Vohemar to go through the “Cleansing ritual” as soon as possible. That is how we can identify and stop the corona virus very fast.

we cannot know until 14 days what color your blooming flower will get. But we suspect your flower will be red. If you get symptoms of the corona disease and get sick, then we will know.

1. The roots, they are yellow. They bring water an nutritions. We need young strong people roots, they become Vohemars protectors.

2. The stem and leaves, they are green. They return energy to the roots

3. The blooming flower, which will be either Blue or Red

Shama looked at Eric. “Eric, we cannot know until 14 days what color your blooming flower will get. But we suspect your flower will be red. If you get symptoms of the corona disease and get sick, then we will know.

If you have corona virus, you are as dangerous to the people of Vohemar, as a flower that spreads posinous But until then, you are as dangerous to the people in Vohemar, as the poison

The seed of this flower can grow and become either a poisonous or a healing plant. The green leaves makes energy from the sun that is sent to the roots from the leaves.

If pollen from a blooming red flower is carried by snails, insects, animals or even in a tiny drops of water carried by the wind through air, it can poison another flower. Just one pollen can make the whole plant poisonous.

The yellow roots can get very long and can get entangled with roots of other flowers. Roots can also get poisoned this way, but only if a root comes to grow up

The flower will turn red. A healthy healing plant blooms a blue flower, but it can turn red if it gets poisoned.

So therefore, you never know by the color green, if the flower is po

After 2 weeks the flower will bloom and show if it is red and poisonous or blue and healing.

We must be like this flower to save ourselves from Corona’s virus.

Shama paused and looked at them.

“But how can we be like the flower” said Õtan

“Look at the scarves around your father’s arm. He has one yellow and one green
